2025 Annual Report
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As I reflect on this past year at Bududa Learning Center, I am filled with deep gratitude for our students, our staff, our community in Bududa, and for you, whose partnership makes this work possible.
This year marked an important moment in the life of BLC as I stepped into the role of Director following the extraordinary leadership of our founder, Barbara Wybar. Barbara’s vision, faithfulness, and perseverance built the foundation upon which everything we do stands today. I am honored to steward this mission forward, grounded in the values she established and inspired by the lives already transformed through her leadership.
Together with our Ugandan leadership team, staff, and Board of Directors, we have continued to strengthen and expand programs that equip students with practical skills, confidence, and hope for the future. From vocational training and academic education to nutrition and agriculture initiatives, each program reflects our commitment to holistic learning, education that empowers individuals and strengthens families and communities.
What continues to inspire me most is the resilience and determination of our students. Every day, they show us what is possible when opportunity meets perseverance. Their progress is a direct result of your generosity and belief in their potential. Because of you, students are learning trades, completing their education, nourishing their bodies, and building pathways toward sustainable livelihoods.
As we look ahead, we remain focused on thoughtful growth, long-term sustainability, and deepening our partnership with the Bududa community. This next chapter for BLC is not about change for its own sake, but about building wisely on what already works ensuring that the impact we are seeing today endures for generations to come.
