Give a student the chance to change everything.

Your summer gift helps us grow our impact for 33 students, supporting them through a full term of training with every dollar matched through mid-July.

For Catherine, and students just like her, that means gaining the skills, confidence, and credentials to build a career, support a family, and teach the next generation.

Catherine came to Bududa Vocational Academy after a friend told her it was a welcoming place with teachers who genuinely cared.

She enrolled in the Nursery Teacher Training program not knowing exactly what to expect.

What she found was a way of teaching she immediately believed in. Children learn best by doing, by touching, building, making things. She built a model house as a teaching aid that now sits in her classroom. Her instructor, Madam Daphine, showed her how to make learning feel like joy. Catherine took notes, and now she does the same.

When she arrived, she was hesitant, quick to defer. That's changed. She leads her own lessons now with confidence and energy, and she knows she can do it. Her goal is to earn another diploma and teach in a pre-primary school, close to home.

Your gift helps create real opportunities

give students the chance to change everything!

A generous supporter has put up a $25,000 matching gift. Every dollar you give is doubled, up to that amount, through mid-July. We're working toward a total of $65,000 to support 33 students like Catherine through tuition, daily meals, materials, exam fees, and mentoring.

The skills students gain at BVA don't stay at the school gates. They go home with them, into classrooms, workshops, and communities across the Bududa District. Catherine will carry what she learned here into every lesson she teaches for the rest of her career. The children she teaches will carry it further still.

That's what we mean when we say we're building what lasts.
